FERNANDO
TR: Does maturity automatically slow down the tempo of songs?

No, but my colostomy bag does

TR: Do you feel "history" in your music? Does it feel like you're adding your voice to a tradition?

Yes, My music is historic a cross between the resignation of Nixon and the day the cops found Pee Wee Herman masturbating in that Florida jerky palace

TR: What is your point of departure when writing your songs, does the music come first, an idea of a place, the words?

First,I pick up a guitar and hope that I don't break a string. If I succeed in overcoming that obstacle it's hits for hours. Usually the music does come first.

TR: Do you think that the multitude of new bands, along with the greater separation of the mainstream/major acts from the indie-world, and the greater expense of touring than it used to be, will create a new music scene based on the local?

The only difference today between the Indy and majors is just the marketing plan-I don't know anything about music scenes.....I'm too old and unhip

TR: Do you have a day job and what is it?

Yes, I'm a parapsychologist

TR: What does it take to have a hit song and are you wishing for one?

I don't know what it takes to write hit song.If I did i would have written one by now

TR: Would you be happy being a one hit wonder?

No

TR: Do musicians in general lose credibility with the mass popular audience as >their music becomes free as traded mp3s on the Internet?

No

TR: How important is touring in keeping your music alive?

I don't like crowded spaces, so I've stopped touring, But I think it is important to tour

TR: Can bands be studio bands anymore?

Of course, but if you mean can a band be commercially viable and not tour..then no. Personally I'm just thankful that I can release my art whenever I want and that no one can tell me what to release. I don't like the Idea of music being a commodity

TR: What band from the 90's did the world miss out on?

Sissyface,Gern Blanston,Iommi Stubbs,Jim Boyer,Golden Delicious

TR: What bands do you feel aren't getting the attention they deserve?

Old Joe Clarks

TR: Where do you think indie music is going? More folk, more pop, more hip hop?

I don't know where indie music is going...your the music journalist you tell me.
